Dacica Foundation

The foundation has entered into partnership agreements with the Boșorod Primary School on several cultural projects and has included the school in the ”Higher Education” project, one of the winning projects of the national competition “RO SMART in Andrei’s Land”, funded by OMV Petrom.

In 2016, together with representatives from the Boșorod City Hall and the Boșorod Primary School, Dacica Foundation established the Working Group for the Touristic Development of the Boșorod Community, aimed at implementing an action plan for the cultural tourism development in the area of Piatra Roșie Dacian Fortress, and to increase the awareness of the monument’s importance among the local population.

Dacica Foundation has also intervened to support social cases in the community by collecting the necessary funds to provide a heating system for a family in need, and by organizing actions to provide moral support to children with medical problems.

Last but not least, Dacica Guesthouse has created job opportunities, which currently employs 8 people from the local population. They benefit from free transportation and meals on working days, as well as two 4-day teambuildings per year to various regions of the country, including visits to museums and historical monuments, hiking, and entertainment.
