Dacica Foundation constantly monitors the situation of historical monuments from the Dacian era in terms of their conservation status, as well as the way they are managed by the competent authorities and how legislation on heritage management and protection is conceived and applied.
The Dacica Foundation is the only non-governmental organization in Romania operating in the field of heritage that is a member of the international network World Heritage Watch, which supports UNESCO in obtaining complete and accurate information about the situation of World Heritage sites and informs the public about threats to the common heritage of humanity.
When the situation required it, Dacica Foundation directly involved itself in actions aimed to secure buildings that were at risk of degradation.
